One click
Click Clean to close all non-essential programs at once. No need to hunt them down one by one.
Messengers, update helpers and security programs installed by banking sites keep running in the background. One click on Clean closes them and then frees up the leftover memory. It also cleans up startup items, junk files and force-installed programs.
KCleanerCloses programs, never deletes them
Drivers and antivirus stay
Click Clean in the window on the left.
In the list on the right, what Windows truly needs stays, and the rest closes one by one.

The app's text follows your Windows display language (English if the language isn't supported). Descriptions of items with an exclamation mark appear in the original English.
On the Home screen, click Clean. Programs running in the background close all at once and memory is freed. Programs are only closed, not deleted, so just start the ones you need again and keep using them.
Non-essential programs like browsers, messengers and document editors close even if they are open. Save any unsaved work first. File Explorer and the desktop, graphics and sound drivers, and trusted antivirus programs stay as they are.
With the installed version, right-click the KCleaner icon in the notification area and choose Exclusion list. Notepad opens. Write one program per line that should not be closed, then save. Ending a name with *, like editplus.exe*, matches that exact file name. Without *, like \EditPlus\, it matches anything with that text in its path. With the portable version, create NoClean.txt next to KCleaner.exe and write it the same way.
When cleanup is done, a results page opens in your browser showing the closed programs and memory before and after. The KCleaner window closes by itself once its work is finished.
With the installed version, the KCleaner icon appears in the notification area shortly after you sign in. Click the icon to open KCleaner. If it is already open, its window comes to the front.
In the Startup tab, select the program and click Disable. The item is turned off, not deleted, so you can still use the program. Check All Programs to show turned-off items as dimmed rows, and turn them back on with Enable.
Double-click its row. Your browser opens and looks up information about that item.
The first time you open the Cleanup tab, it finds the apps installed on this PC and shows only their cleanup items, sorted by category. Keep the default checks and click Analyze to see which files would be deleted and how big they are. Click Clean to delete what was analyzed. Analyze never deletes anything.
Click a category row to expand it and see its items. Click an item row to change its check. The check box on a category row changes the whole category at once, and turns gray when only some items are checked. Your changes are kept for next time. To go back to the original state, right-click and choose Restore defaults.
Records you created, like bookmarks, passwords, browsing history and chat history, are not checked by default. For apps that mix cache with recent file lists, there is a separate … · Usage history item. To clear those records too, check that item yourself.
Clean turns on only after every checked item has been run through Analyze and there is something to delete. If you checked something new after analyzing, or just finished a cleanup, click Analyze again.
Open the Bundle tab to see only the banking and government security programs installed on this PC, such as keyboard security and digital certificate tools. Select one and click Uninstall, or double-click its row, and that program's uninstaller opens, just like Uninstall a program in Control Panel. You can reinstall it from the site whenever you need it.

KCleaner does not update itself. When a new version is out, it tells you at startup, and clicking Yes opens the download page.
Yes. It is freeware, so you can use it free of charge with no limits at work, at home, in government offices or at school, and share it freely.
Clean only closes programs. It never deletes them. Start them again and they work as before. The only things deleted are junk files in Cleanup and programs you pick yourself in Bundle.
Programs Windows needs to run, File Explorer and the desktop, graphics and sound drivers, antivirus programs signed by trusted developers, and programs on your Exclusion list. When you are online, it downloads the latest version of the keep list.
Closing other programs and changing startup items require administrator rights. When it starts, click Yes in the Windows prompt.
It never analyzes or cleans the Documents, Desktop, Pictures, Videos, Music and Downloads folders, or hidden and system files. Files currently in use are skipped too. The cleanup list is based on Winapp2.
It is used for new version notices, downloading the keep list and cleanup list, and the results page. When you click Clean, it sends the paths of the programs that were running, what was done to each, and memory numbers to the Kilho.net server to build the results page (plus the Startup and Bundle lists, if you opened those tabs). Without a connection, it cleans up using its built-in lists and simply closes the window with no results page.
There is nothing to set. Programs not to close go in the Exclusion list, and checks in Cleanup are remembered as soon as you change them. The display language follows your Windows display language, and the colors follow Windows app mode (Light or Dark).
Yes. Unzip the portable version (ZIP) and run KCleaner.exe. Cleanup features are the same as the installer. Only the notification area icon is limited to the installed version.
